This Privacy Notice explains how Bizzibo handles personal data when you use our website and marketplaces, including voice search.
Who this notice covers
Bizzibo is the data fiduciary for the personal data described in this notice. This notice applies to people who visit Bizzibo, create an account, buy, sell or use our marketplace features.
Personal data we handle
We may handle the account and contact details you give us, seller business and GST details where relevant, information needed to complete orders or enquiries, and records of your activity on Bizzibo such as searches, messages and support requests.
We also receive technical information needed to operate and protect the service, such as browser, device and connection information. Search text, including a voice-search transcript, is handled in the same way as text you type into search.
Voice search and browser speech services
When you choose voice search, your browser turns your voice into text and may use its own speech service to do it. In browsers such as Chrome and Edge, this can mean the browser sends audio to its speech-service provider for transcription.
Bizzibo receives only the resulting text, not the audio you speak. We do not record or store voice audio through the voice-search feature. We use the resulting text to run the same marketplace search that we run for a typed search.
Why we use personal data
We use personal data to provide and secure Bizzibo, create and manage accounts, support orders and enquiries, verify businesses where required, respond to requests, prevent fraud and misuse, and meet legal obligations.
We also use search and service activity to provide the features you ask for, such as showing search results in the marketplace you selected. Where consent is required, we ask for it and you may withdraw it using the available account controls or by contacting us.
Retention and security
We keep personal data only for as long as needed for the purposes in this notice, including account operation, legal, tax, fraud-prevention and dispute-resolution requirements. We use reasonable safeguards designed to protect the data we handle.
Your choices and rights
You may ask us to access, correct or erase your personal data, withdraw consent where it applies, nominate another person to exercise your rights, or raise a grievance about how we handle your data. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.
